Healthy fats are essential for hormone production, brain function, and the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). Traditional fats like butter, ghee, tallow, lard, and cold-pressed olive oil have nourished humans for millennia. Avoid industrial seed oils (canola, soybean, corn) which are inflammatory and oxidize easily. Add quality fats as garnishes to vegetables and proteins for better nutrient absorption and satiety.
